Publisher Description

Fractured Realities redefines Science Fiction and Fantasy, collecting the best works of an author in his prime into a single volume for the first time ever. In this tome you will find stories of cyberpunk, alien invasion, strange infections, and stories of himanity's very end.

In Sounds for Crustaceans, originally published in Fantasy Magazine, the protagonist discovers they are turning into a crab and seeks acceptance and understanding from their partner in a painful story about finding ourselves and treating the world with kindness.

In Hard Memory, our protagonist is a detective in search of a hacker who spreads depression throughout the city with electrical emotional manipulation, but finds something much darker in the process.

In Mycelium Dreams, the sole survivor of a shuttle's alien fungal infection converses with the thing which killed his crew and tries to understand the motivations of something which has a different understanding of life itself.

In Spill-Free and Sparkling, a shipboard cleaning system deals with a dire situation while unaware of the realities facing the crew, all in the name of perfect cleanliness.

In A Golem Made of You, our protagonist encounters failure, disgust, and desire as a parasite overtakes his ship, leading him to question his humanity and the unbearable burden of loneliness.

In Aspiration Extermination, we view a robot apocalypse through the optics of the mundane and the workers who clear the earth of humanity, despite the tedium of the task.

To the Plains of Etherea is the story of an adventurer facing the loss of his companion who has been by his side through all of their struggles. It's a heart-rending tale of perseverance and deepest caring.

Interview with Julie Fairweather, Star of Lawnmower Hands, is a story of utmost decadence in the form of a magazine interview, shining a light on the depravity that hides in ignoring the truth.

Their Hands Will Carry You Home asks what we would be willing to give for the return of the one we love, and how much sacrifice is too much.

The stories in this collection are all interspersed with tiny drabbles - stories themselves in small, 100-word snippets.
