About “Moby Dick.”

I will start with a classic. In “Moby Dick,” Captain Ahab goes searching for a white whale that was a challenge for everybody. The whale had eaten his leg on a previous journey, but Captain Ahab chooses to return to the sea to search for the white whale once again, which is not easy. But he’s not intimidated by his injury, by being handicapped — Captain Ahab had developed an intolerance for human beings, and the whale occupied all his thoughts. So, for him, there is him and whale and nothing else. “Moby Dick” is a classic tale of facing challenges; this is what happens when you are focused on something that occupies your thoughts. Either you live or die, but you don’t quit this fight.
