Happy Birthday, Agatha Christie!
On September 15th, 1890, Agatha Christie (then named Agatha Miller) was born. Today, September 15th, 2023, would have marked her 133rd birthday.
It’s an especially auspicious birthday for the author, as the newest adaptation of one of her books was released this week: “A Haunting in Venice,” which is based on her 1969 novel “Hallowe’en Party.”
Most members of the reading community have read an Agatha Christie novel by now, whether they are adamant fans of the mystery genre or not. Although Christie is best known for “Murder on the Orient Express” and “Death On the Nile,” there are so many other worthwhile titles amongst her 66 detective novels and 14 short stories that will give you all the thrill you’re looking for this fall season.
Here are a few Agatha Christie books I recommend you read this fall - including some of her most popular and renowned works, as well as less broadly-known titles. For a full list of Christie’s novels, check out my book lists on my profile—I've put them all in one list for you!
