Shockingly already dated. This was published in 2017 and it’s horrifying to see how far the US has already fallen down the tyrannical pipeline. This has amazing talking points but it’s very evident it was written by a liberal Democrat wherein the sources Snyder uses to make his point are anti communist and pro Reagan policies. However, I think because of Snyder’s way of using his sources, this would be a great read to give to someone you’re trying to sway from the far right. Also, in case you still don’t think this applies to you, if you are MAGA, pro ICE, pro Israel, or anti human rights in ANY way (abortion, LGBTQ, or immigrants to name a few) then congrats! You’re part of this tyrannical regime and are in fact on the wrong side of history.

I'm so glad I wasn't alive in the 50s. I would not have survived being treated like a man's property and I would make a terrible housewife. It's books like this that unnerve me more than the gorey slasher books I read.
