Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes“I loved it so much. I had heard this was a body swapping story before starting it but wasn't expecting them to still be together through the whole experience and I really liked that version of this trope. Their worlds were so vivid ❤️❤️ AND the last chapter before the epilogue had me actually crying. I appreciate when I book can affect me so dramatically. 10/10”

Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes“IT WAS SO GOOD. I LOVED the illustrations. There were some boring moments where I was hoping I would be eaten by the monsters in the book to get some EXCITEMENT in my veins. Yumi & the Painter had moments where they truly shined. I really didn’t like Painter cause he seemed like such a loser fr, at those points I was hoping the book would only be about Yumi… I was rooting for her with all my heart and soul. I wanted the yoki-hijo of my heart (Yumi) to have everything her heart desires. She stacked stones all the way to my cold lonely heart. I would serve her with all my being. EVERY breath I draw would be dedicated to her. EVERY thought, in her favor. EVERY heartbeat for her. Even when I die, even AFTER I die, I would serve her.”

Slightly Smiling Face“I know Brandon Sanderson's THING is to have an avalanche of things happen at the very end of the book, but I found this one too slow for too long. I didn't dislike the story by any means, but it took too long to get anywhere. And don't get me wrong, I do love some slice of life, which this had the vibes of for quite a while (slice of switched lives?) But I found the characters to be too flat to really carry that slower pace. I ended up really pushing myself to just hurry up and finish this so I could move on to different books. Maybe it just needed to be a novella instead of 350 pages? Just edited down a bit to fix the pacing. Cute though. Funny at times. Some quotable bits. I didn't really find myself invested in the romance tbh. 🤷‍♀️”

Beaming Face with Smiling Eyes“I really liked this one but it took me a little bit to get into it. I felt like it had some slow points and you defiantly need prior knowledge of the cosmere to get a lot of the detail and it’s a bit intimidating. The characters are also very realistic in a way that almost felt too relatable at first lol. That said it was a really great book the ending is super satisfying and I really loved the way the main characters characters help each other grow into better people. Fun word building too!”
