“I liked this book, mainly bc I love Jacob Maddox. I felt and understood him, I felt i understood Benny bc of his chronic illness. I’ve had the social anxiety, depression, and refusal to take care of yourself bc sometimes living in this body is not worth living. I still have the social anxiety & refusal to live freely sometimes bc what the point? I understood that. That’s why it got 4 stars.
The love plot was a lot. Too much miscommunication and I felt unneeded angst. I understand being hurt by past trauma, but I’m 28 & know it’s better to just say what I’m thinking. I don’t get continuously having this idea in your head and refusing to not say anything. Like my actual anxiety would go insane. They’re supposed to be 35 but they aren’t talking, and it seems childish. Again, past trauma is always a common factor in not talking & I get that, but miscommunication tropes anger me so much lol.”
