Publisher Description
A novel of terrible first impressions, hilarious second chances, and the joy in finding your perfect match from "a true talent" (Emily Henry, #1 New York Times bestselling author).
Dr. Briana Ortiz’s life is seriously flatlining. Her divorce is just about finalized, her brother’s running out of time to find a kidney donor, and that promotion she wants? Oh, that’s probably going to the new man-doctor who’s already registering eighty-friggin’-seven on Briana’s “pain in my ass” scale. But just when all systems are set to hate, Dr. Jacob Maddox completely flips the game . . . by sending Briana a letter.
And it’s a really good letter. Like the kind that proves that Jacob isn’t actually Satan. Worse, he might be this fantastically funny and subversively likeable guy who’s terrible at first impressions. Because suddenly he and Bri are exchanging letters, sharing lunch dates in her “sob closet,” and discussing the merits of freakishly tiny horses. But when Jacob decides to give Briana the best gift imaginable—a kidney for her brother—she wonders just how she can resist this quietly sexy new doctor . . . especially when he calls in a favor she can’t refuse.
“Abby Jimenez’s words…sprinkle humor and warmth all over my life.” –Ali Hazelwood, New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis

“"Love shows up. That's how you know when it's real." I literally cry 🥹
I was on a roller coaster of emotions with this book! Normally, I despise miscommunication trope, but I did not mind it here. How could I be upset with Jacob? A literal cinnamon roll!! Brianna? Girl, I get it, the trust issues were super valid and understandable.
Ugh, I was hooked the moment the first letter was written. I just knew I was going to be a sucker for the way their love story was going to unravel. There were so many times where I kicked my feet and sighed of how sweet they were to each other. Their relationship was so full of many "aww" moments, I could not get enough of it. Their playfulness and bater were to die for. My heart was just so ahhh. I just want to squeal.
I loved the way Briana understood Jacob and knew just what he deeded and vice versa. Abby did a great job with describing the feeling of having aniety and the process of overthinking. It made me want to make my husaband read it so he could better understand 😂”

“🎧 This book was cute cute cute. Loved the mental health themes throughout and the ties back to the previous book. Fake dating trope is always top tier for me. Hehe”
