“I'm kind of disappointed.
I absolutely LOVED the beginning of this book. The snark was fun and I was invested in what was happening.
However, as the story wore on, it just started feeling repetitive and the snark became grating as the characters were unable to be serious and it made them feel very 2-dimensional.
Instances of flirting occurring at inappropriate moments made me roll my eyes. It felt like there were more perspectives than there were, and it just contributed to the story feeling aimless.
Overall, it was a fast read with an interesting plot that unfortunately didn't fully deliver.

Created about 2 months ago“This is not something I would typically read, but I’m trying to branch out. That being said, I had a bit of trouble getting into this one at the beginning. There was quite a bit of POV and timeline jumping that was hard for me to keep straight. Somewhere between chapters 10 and 15, things really started to happen and I was sucked in. Everything made sense and the story really spoke to me. Allison Ivy did a great job in writing this story, and I enjoyed it. Ren, Sophia, and Jeremy go through it in this story. Each one has their own tribulations to go through, but the end goal for all of them is to save one little boy and end their parent’s evil deals once and for all.”bookish.dogmom
