Writing the Great American Romance Novel Reviews

Expressionless Face“Written using speech to text for accessibility:I’m sure this book was full of fabulous advice when it was published which is why it’s getting the half waypoint for rating. And indeed the opening to it is absolutely great in spelling out the cultural stigma against romance which is true even today. Unfortunately so much of the actual meet of this book is terribly outdated. The author continuously references as evidence of “good“ love stories pieces of media that we have now since created our problematic and don’t read well to Modern audiences anymore. I’d like to congratulate her on being ahead of the curb and letting people know that you gotta jump on the Internet. Very forward thinking in 2006. She makes a very long case for why you’re hero has to be intelligent and I am really curious as to what this woman has to say today about everyone’s love of himbos. It was also very unfortunate this author had nothing to say About POC love stories. And didn’t so much mention it outside of a paragraph about it being a genre in and of of itself which is gross for 1 million reasons. Much of the advice given can be gathered through osmosis by reading Lysa Kay Adams Bromance book club series.”
