“I think I could really enjoy this book in 10 years, on the beach. Unfortunately I didn’t love it this time around - just took me forever to get through. Felt like the characters’ dialogue was so elaborate which didn’t feel realistic - would’ve lost my mind if they were my friends. But definitely beautiful imagery, themes, etc.”

Frances Mayes is the author of the now-classic Under the Tuscan Sun, which was a New York Times bestseller for more than two and a half years and became a Touchstone movie starring Diane Lane.
