Wolvenguard Reviews

“Another Masterpiece. These two characters spark so much intrigue in the books where they were side characters, and boy did their story deliver with a punch! Cia and Deklan are the couple you didn’t know you were waiting for! These two had a wonderful story, and their sparks and chemistry were off the charts. It was a treat experiencing Deklan fighting his nature, prompting Cia to grow in her confidence. These two are the perfect combination of fire and ice, and I loved how they complemented each other perfectly despite being total opposites. Deklan is the Alpha. He is strong, in control, and unshakeable. Cia is a loner by circumstance. She is reckless, fiery, and might be the only thing to shake up Deklan’s view of things. Where one adds spontaneity, the other adds stability. I loved how these characters pushed and pulled against their natures, to the most glorious result! Tensions stakes are high in this thrilling installment of GoS, as our beloved characters get closer to bringing down the enemy. The foreshadowing and teasers for the next installment of this story will leave you withering away in your impatience to start the next story, but given the super writing in this series and the originality of every story told in this series thus far, it will be well worth the wait! I have been fortunate to have received a copy of this book through Booksirens and willingly leave this honest review.”
“This is the seventh book in the series, and I was so excited to read it because it focused on Deklan and, by extension, his wolves. Deklan always felt a bit reclusive and mysterious in past books. Not in this one. Deklan is a dynamically developed character and a swoon-worthy MMC. Cia is layered well too, as is the slow-building romance between them. Both characters are dealing with wounds from their pasts, and Deklan has major concerns about the age difference since she is 19 and he is more than 10 years her senior. it definitely affects their views on relationships and the future. However, the chemistry between them is undeniable.  I also loved that we got a look at Deklan’s large and fantastic family. Westill’s novella series Bella and the Beastmaster is actually about Deklan’s parents Markus and Bella, so to see what their life is like so many years and children later makes my heart so happy. I adore Markus and Bella (and Lunah!), and the life they made is wonderful.  Other secondary characters are also dynamic and well-developed, and I love how the characters from the previous books in the series have roles in this one, too. It’s interesting to see how their stories and lives weave together. And then there’s the wolves. I think they were my favorite part of the story! I’ve been intrigued by the bond some characters have with them, so I liked that this story went into more detail about it. I also like how the author keeps expanding and developing the setting. Each country is unique and distinct from the others, and learning about the different cultures, customs, terrain, and more is fascinating. Some aspects of the over-arching plot are resolved in this story as Cia searches for the man who killed her family, and an escaped convict is found. It’s intense and suspenseful, and Cia’s life is in constant jeopardy. I would recommend checking out the content warnings before reading the book, as there are some parts that could be difficult for some to read. That being said, it’s an engrossing read and a great addition to the series. And the next book is about Voklane, another enigmatic character I’m eager to learn more about!”
“This might be my favorite book in this series yet! This series always delivers with lots of mystery and romance. I can't wait for the next! The tension between the mains was absolutely delicious, and the mystery of what is happening with the diabolical alliance continues to deepen. This series is the best! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.”
