“This was so beautiful... I ended the book in tears. The way the valley is written made me wish I could spend childhood summers there. The story itself is sad and beautiful and makes one reflect. I related to the main character in a lot of ways but prompted me to reflect on how parents can feel that they are doing everything they can while still doing harm and that sometimes we need to slow down and listen.”amelia
