Q: Do I have to buy the ebook to participate in a book club?

No, you don’t have to buy the ebook to participate, but we do recommend it to get the most out of your club. There are several premium social reading features that are only available when you buy the ebook, like annotations, reactions, comment threads, resources, discussion prompts, and more, all embedded right in the text. It’s a unique and immersive way to read.

Q: Why can’t I buy the ebook on the app?

It’s annoying, we know. App store rules prevent us from selling directly in the app, so for now you can only purchase ebooks on our website. Don’t worry: when you purchase an ebook on the web, it’s automatically added to your bookshelf in the app.

Q: How is Fable’s reader different from Kindle?

Kindle is a straightforward e-reader; Fable is an interactive e-reader that includes social features inside the ebooks. When you read an ebook on Fable, you can see and react to the text with others in real time. Start a discussion, share highlights and quotes, add emoji reactions—all of it lives right inside the book. It’s hard to explain and easy to see, so we recommend reading the free sample in one of our most active clubs to get a feel for it.

Q: Do you sell physical books too?

Q: Are book clubs free to join on Fable?

Most of our clubs are completely free to join. The only exceptions are clubs marked as “Premium” or “Career Development,” which do require a fee. You can find out more on each club’s detail page.

Q: How do I start a book club with this book on Fable?

“HOLY RENEGADES!!! 6 Completely Renegade Worthy Stars!! Definitely one of my TOP reads of 2016! I cannot come to terms with how much I absolutely loved this book! I want to re-read it for the first time all over again! Thank ALL THAT IS GOOD that this is a series. Every character made me fall in love with them, the world, and made me itch to see what was coming next in their lives. I haven’t read many books this year that I really want made into a movie. This isn’t one of them either…. A movie would NOT do this book justice! This book, and the ones to come in the series, would need a TV show to do it justice. The characters in this world are some of my all-time favorites. It is not often that I read a book and scream that I want the next books in the series to be about the supporting characters. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever screamed that. I couldn’t want that MORE with this series! The entire Renegades crew makes you fall in love with every action they take and feel passionate about what they are trying to achieve. Paxton, aka “Wilder,” takes the cake as my favorite male lead this year. *swoon* Yes, I may be a little bias as I absolutely love the X-Games, BMX, and then to top it off, throw the man on a dirt bike and I’m a goner. The supporting Renegades characters quickly gained my love as well, especially Landon, aka “Nova.” (Who the next book just happens to be about! YAY!) Then there is Penelope, aka “Penna,” who is the most bada** chick I have read about in a long time! She’s strong and keeps up with, sometimes even surpassing, the boys in their games! Last but not least is Nick who is as much a Renegade as the rest of them. Then there is our leading lady, Leah. She is unexpectedly thrown into the world of the Renegades. With a dark and mysterious event in her past, she comes into this whirlwind of a lifestyle and has to make major steps to overcome her fears. All of the characters are captivating in a way that sucks you in and leaves you wanting more. I could go on and on with how many things I loved about this book! The plot suckered me in from the beginning. School on a ship?!? I want more of that! *scratch that* I want to do that! I know I just graduated a few months ago but I would gladly go back if I could take courses on a boat and tour the world! Sign me up for that right now! If you love swoony guys, strong and brave women, and an adventure of a lifetime, this book is definitely for you! It wasn’t just the body, the face, or the tattoos. He made me feel anything was possible, like there was a whole shiny world waiting for me to step inside and explore. He was everything I wasn’t, but he made me feel like I could be.” “As for going steady, I’m sure I could find my letterman jacket from high school or something if you want it.””
