“I had high hopes fore this book based on the reviews but for me, it didn’t live up to the expectations. There are some valuable techniques explained but some of it is so dumbed down it’s hard to stomach. The science sections don’t go into any detail about the science, just a general overview with personal anecdotes to support the overview. Some of the language used to describe techniques or ideas feels like the way you would talk to a small child about a complex idea like when we use the word “poop” to describe a bowel movement to a 3 year old. While it’s appropriate if that is the target audience, it feels condescending if you’re talking to an adult. I gave this 3 stars based on the information provided but the reading experience would only be 2 stars.”
