ByPublisher Description
Get ready to journey around the world with Nellie Bly--one of America's first investigative journalists.
Elizabeth Cochrane Seaman had no idea that the open letter she'd written to a local newspaper in Pittsburgh in 1885 would change her life forever. “One thing I love is a true underdog story, a person who despite everything and everyone being against them, not only do they do what they want, but they succeed and thus blaze a path for others like them. Nellie Bly, is that person. Nellie is someone I've heard of for a large portion of my life. Nellie had a passion and a dream and she wanted to help people and she did, she not only helped those at the time, but set the trail and a standard in a time when women in couldn't legally and socially do certain things and I respect that 100%. Nellie is in an inspiration for women and girls to take life by the gonads and go after what you want.”
