Grace, Isa, and Everett used to be an inseparable trio before their love lives became a tangled mess. For starters, Grace is secretly in love with Everett, who used to go out with Isa before breaking her heart in the infamous Freshman Year Fracture. And, oh yeah, no one knows that Isa has been hanging out with James, Grace’s brother—and if Grace finds out, it could ruin their friendship.
With graduation fast approaching, Grace decides an unsanctioned senior skip day in Philadelphia might be just what they need to fix things. All she has to do is convince Isa to help her kidnap Everett and outmaneuver James, who’s certain his sister is up to something.
In an epic day that includes racing up the famous Rocky steps, taste-testing Philly's finest cheesesteaks, and even crashing a wedding, their secrets are bound to collide. But can their hearts withstand the wreckage?

“I liked this book. It was a book that kept me entertained whenever I read it, and there wasn’t a moment when I felt that the book was dragged or should end, which is in my opinion already a really good thing. It didn’t alter my brain chemistry, but it was good and in season for spring (the book is set in the beginning of May). For the characters.
I’m going to start with Grace. I liked her character and her determination to hang out with her friends and take a trip in time to the city Everett’s dad used to take them to as kids. I didn’t really understand why she didn’t invite James, but I guess they were a bit distant from each other, so in that form it kind of made sense. Honestly, I didn’t understand why she wasn’t honest with Isa about her feelings for Ev, especially because she had them for so long. When they talked out what was going on, I liked that she was supportive of Isa and James together. She and Ev are so cute together. She is so supportive of him, and you can tell that she really cares about him.
Everett was a complex character who turns out in the end to have depression. I think he is a very well-rounded character with a lot of depth to him. His grief was done well, and you could tell that he was really battling with it. His apology to Isa was really beautiful, and I love how the author wrote it realistically. I mean, in his place talking about his father’s death on the day he was diagnosed couldn’t have been easy, and the author wrote it down realistically to the circumstances and his character. I liked how he was trying to get back on his feet, knowing that nothing will be the same again, but still knowing he wants to try. Also, a side note, the relationship he had with his sisters was so adorable. I loved the Taylor Swift references.
Isa was also a more complex character who I think had more to her than the book covered. The pressure to make her parents (especially her dad) proud was something I think a lot of people could relate to. Okay, I’m going to go ahead and say it, I didn’t like how she delayed telling Grace about her secret relationship(?) with James. I think you could understand why she delayed it, but I just didnt really get it. Grace was her best friend and someone she could always talk to about everything. If she knew her, wouldn’t she have known that she would be supportive of them? I guess the teenage thinking got the best of her. Her relationship with James was realistic. It wasn’t sugarcoated to be the perfect side relationship, instead it had depth to it.
And finally, James. I think his POV was the most interesting and fun to read about. I had the most fun when I was reading in his POV. His character was funny and enjoyable to read about. He really was a clown (Isa was right), but not in a bad way. You have to read the book to understand what I’m talking about. I liked how he thought of Grace as his twin, even though they weren’t twins. How he came to terms with the fact that his and Grace’s relationship wasn’t the best and actually wanted to fix it. He and Grace both despised the idea of their parents moving, even though they would be away for college. They still didn’t want to let go of the place they grew up in and made so many memories in. It was just relatable in my opinion.
Overall, I liked the book, the plot, the storyline, the characters. It wasn’t anything life-changing, but it was a good spring read.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review :)”
