This book took me agessss to finish, but its not due to being bad or boring. I really enjoyed this.
Every chapter is a different short story, and in the audiobook version most of them are three to four minutes long. It wasn't a book I could just sit and listen to all the way through, but I would listen to a chapter or two at a time.
This is one of the rare books that's narrated by the author where I feel that this is a good choice - Rick Bragg is writing about the South and his experiences growing up here, and his slower paced, southern accent enhances the stories.
I especially liked the chapters about his former hunting dogs and the section about holidays.”
