When We Were Us

By Tina Martin
When We Were Us by Tina Martin digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Lavender Young left New York after being fired from Lush Magazine. She returns to the only home she knows – Lake Lure, North Carolina – under false pretenses. No one can know she didn't make it big in the city, so she pretends she's on assignment, photographing her hometown and writing an article about it. To keep up the façade, she gets money from savings to hire a tour guide to update her on what's new in the area. She never imagined that guide would be her ex, Jaysen Adams.

Jaysen always wondered why Lavender left him a year year ago without any explanation. Will he push his anger aside to finally get the answers he so desperately needs?

“Cute & Corny “When We Were Us (Love In Lake Lure - Book 1)” was short & sweet while simultaneously cute & corny. Thereafter, it’s interesting Ms. Lavender & Jayson’s individual journey’s brought them back to where their lives together began in Lake Lure. The distance gave them perspective and an opportunity to maturez”
“Alright. So the story is good but however, lavender got on my nerves. This is what happens when you don’t get all the facts. See compared to me I’m the type to need all information with my own eyes because when i make a move of any kind i don’t want to be wrong. Lavender wasted time and time is too precious. With Jaysen I’m glad we got the focus of him being emotional because men have feelings too. It’s okay to show that side. Now i wish he had some thump about him and went to see about his girl. Also with his character this is a prime example of why loving yourself and learning to be okay with being alone is important. I think you should never be consumed with someone so much it’s like you don’t have your own identity. Once again time is too precious. If you care truly care about someone you’ll at least try to get answers. Now on the flip side i also believe in letting a person think and feel how they want about you. LOL. The story ends fast to me after building all this tension. Personally i would have rather seen them work a little more about her leaving so fast and getting back to them. But love will fix most things i guess. Things could have been more interesting if he did (no i don’t condone cheating) or if it was mistaken identity (like she saw his brother and thought it was him.) Lastly, people like Jaysen mom get on my nerves. If you don’t feel loved, respected, appreciated and whatever else you don’t have to stay. Go be free and not stressed.”
