Whatever Tomorrow Brings

By Amy Argent
Whatever Tomorrow Brings by Amy Argent digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Will Everson is a gifted artist whose life has been shattered by a devastating illness. Will thought he had nothing to live for, then Tori Somerset came along and transformed his world with her vibrance. Tori made it her mission to help Will die at peace, but the two fell in love, and in the midst of a brush with death, Will chose life instead.

Conquering his cancer will be the fight of Will's life, and he'll have to depend on Tori every step of the way. Tori and Will decide they can face this together—a choice that will test the strength of their fledgling relationship.  But the decision to fight doesn't come with a guarantee of victory. The road to health and happiness often involves taking one, slow, painful step at a time.  And sometimes that journey leads to even deeper truths.

“The Embrace Tomorrow Duet by Amy Argent: • Come Back Tomorrow • Whatever Tomorrow Brings I was gifted copies of these books by the author, and I'm so grateful for that. At the time, I was feeling a bit over-extended in terms of the number of ARCs and review copies I had on my TBR, but the Goodreads comparisons to The Fault in Our Stars and Me Before You (two of my favorite angsty reads) had me hooked. I'm so glad I jumped at the chance to read these books! This duet follows the love story of Tori, a psychologist who spends her free time visiting with dying patients at her hospital who have no loved ones to spend their last days with them. Tori's nurse friend who works on the oncology floor gives her a heads-up that there is a new patient, Will, who has had no visitors in the time he has been there. The first book of the duet, Come Back Tomorrow, follows the two of them as Will battles both the cancer that is trying to kill him and his desire to just let it finish him off. He has given up. He doesn't want to fight anymore. But as the friendship develops between Tori and Will, and then as it becomes more than just friendship, we are taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Seriously, have your tissues ready when you start reading, because I was ugly-snot crying all over the place. Argent gives us a frank and brutal view of the life of a terminal cancer patient, and this may be triggering for some who have experienced this, so be aware. The second book, Whatever Tomorrow Brings, continues Tori and Will's story as they fight to bring Will back to health. I won't say too much about it because I want those who read this duet to experience the beauty of this journey that these characters are on with no plot points revealed. I will say that this book gets steamy and you will never look at painting the same way again.”
“First off, I must warn you, you will need a FULL box of tissues to make it through this book. It is heart-wrenching from the get go. Stick with it, though, you will not be disappointed. The author has a wonder way to completely draw you into the story. Enjoy the ride! I received this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.”
“My heart! Book 2 has all the emotions you could possibly feel all wrapped into it. I really appreciated all the details that made me feel like I was a part of the story. I’m so glad I didn’t have to wait long to read book 2. I really wondered what would happen. This is an excellently written book (both are) and I felt like I learned a little bit more about experiencing cancer. If you’re ready for a book with all the feels, then this duet is for you!”

About Amy Argent

Amy Argent is an avid reader and writer of contemporary romance.  Amy can honestly say she writes day and night —clinical trial documents as a medical writer by day and contemporary romance as a novelist by night . . . and possibly into the wee hours of the morning.  She has a PhD in Genetics that she agonized entirely too much over, but it did result in a fascinating day job—the details of which tend to creep into her fiction.

Amy can be found in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband, two teenagers, and two hedgehogs, where she’s most likely planning her next departure from reality —destination: Dragon Con, the closest Renaissance Faire, or the nearest book.

Amy has always been fascinated by the many ways people cope with the human condition. Her stories explore the emotional journey we take when adversity drastically changes life’s course, but being an eternal optimist, she’s found her niche in soulful stories with silver linings.  In truth, they can always be found if one is willing to look for them.
