“Emily and Freddie move to an old house in the countryside after Emily wakes up from a coma. Weird things start happening to Emily in the house as an anger between her and Freddie becomes all consuming.
I really enjoyed the haunted house and Edgar Allen Poe gothic vibes of the house and the eerie things that were happening. However, the pacing was uneven and slow at times.”
“This was my first book by Sarah Pinborough, and I am amazed! This is a slow-burning thriller that was very entertaining. I enjoyed the suspense from the very first chapter. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, wanting to know the true story behind this spooky house. Well, the ending did not disappoint. I was shook when everything was revealed! 4.5 stars.”
