“An interesting concept of Dorothy from Oz being a real person and that story felt rich and the characters felt fully formed too. Every other semi connected story felt unnecessary and flimsy and really took away from the most interesting story at the center. This book was a slog read for a lot but after the Dorothy story ran it’s course about 1/2 to 3/4 through after that it felt like punishment to keep reading—meandering, predictable at points, and without real connection.”
