Warriors Super Edition: Riverstar's Home Reviews

3.0
“Repeat content from another characters POV. Clear Sky is still as horrible as ever and I’m officially convinced that any book containing him is going to be horrible. Skip this if you’re reading through all the books or skim it and only read the parts where Riverstar goes on his journey. The rest is repeated filler and the final bit is Clear Sky being greedy.”
“This SE had a strong start, slow middle, and very strong finish. There was a lot in the middle that was just repeating what we read in DOTC but from Riverstar’s point of view, which did offer some insight, but it was hard to get into when I already knew everything that was happening. Once Riverstar traveled to help his old park mates, that’s when things really picked up and I thoroughly enjoyed the story from there. I love Riverstar’s character and how he’s able to adapt, but still stay true to his beliefs. Reminded me a lot of our old friend, Firestar. This wasn’t my favorite SE, (especially given the Clear Sky/Skystar issues yet again), but it was definitely an enjoyable one!”
“Liked it but didn't LOVE it. One of the best books from the DOTC arc though. I really liked River Ripple during the main arc, so it was nice to have his pov for a whole book and learn more about him and the origins of RiverClan. I listened to the audiobook, and I think I might've liked it better if I'd read it, but I still think it was a decent addition to the series.”
“Not gonna lie this is a good Warriors book. I liked River Ripple in Dawn of the Clans, even though he could be annoying from time to time he was one of the better characters. And this book kept that up. It didn’t destroy his character, which was very nice. I will say that it dragged a bit when the “adventure” started and even though I knew that was where it was going once we got to that part. I did lose interest a little bit, but I mustered through and appreciated the conclusion. It had a little bit of that repetition that these books always get. I don’t know why they decided to make Sky Clan antagonist in these stories, but it’s not abnormal and I guess at least they switched it up from Shadow Clan so there is that. Overall, I’m like this one more than I expected.”
Anxious Face with sweat“I enjoyed this one! Not something I’d Usually go for. That being said, I loved it a lot. The characters are cats ofc, it was interesting to be in their minds. Idk if I’ll continue with other books but I’ll definitely say this one was a solid 8/10.”
