Warlord
ByPublisher Description
Robert, Earl of Locksley, returns in the third entry in this compelling historical series that reimagines one of the most indelible figures in folklore—Robin Hood.
King Richard I, the Lionheart, is engaged in a bloody war to drive the French out of Normandy. Using the brutal tactics of medieval warfare—siege, savagery and scorched earth—the Lionheart gradually pushes back the forces of King Philip of France. By his side in this epic struggle are the erstwhile outlaw Robin Hood, and Sir Alan Dale, Robin's loyal friend.
But while the battles rage, Alan is preoccupied with discovering the identity the man who ordered his father's death ten years earlier—a mystery that leads him towards to Paris, deep into the heart of the enemy's territory.
"A bloodcurdling tale of medieval greed, cruelty and honor. . . . Many of the fight scenes show the thrusts and parries in detail, as though the author were a witness. . . . The battles are what make the book thoroughly entertaining. A fast-paced and exciting story." —

“INCREDIBLE!!! The best yet! This book ticks so many boxes for me! immensely will researched!
I love the books setting in Medieval France criminal underworld! This book is as much a thriller as it is a mystery, and I was hooked from page one!
Gangsters, hustlers, murders, philosophy, religious myth and Arthurian legend all come spirling together amongst the world of Robin Hood! Who I must mention is quite the tricky gangster himself.
I was also humbly touched to see one of my former professors.Books used for research in this wonderful story. i like to think Professor Joesef Goering would have enjoyed this mystery! 🙏💜

“This is a really strong and solid series so far. A lot of historical fiction series, which follow one main character, quickly become very formulaic in style. This series really doesn't. It's a brand new story and style. The peril of Alan feels real and his personal history is fantastically intriguing.
I enjoyed the way Donald tackled the larger battles in this one. Wasn't completely over the top, and moved at a pace that felt natural and genuine
Great book”
