Vow of Eternal Night

By Lily Crozier
Vow of Eternal Night by Lily Crozier digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Clara Wagner has always known that monsters are real, and the worst of them is Prince Raleigh of Rostenburg. But when he decides it’s time to marry, Clara inadvertently finds herself at the center of his attention.

Forced to accept Raleigh’s proposal, Clara would do anything to escape her fate. So when the prince provides an ultimatum—lift his vampiric curse before the end of the year, or become his bride for eternity—Clara knows what she must do.

Heal the prince. Stay alive. Try not to fall in love.

Vow of Eternal Night is a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers, gothic romantasy about the lengths people will go to for love, and the many faces monsters can wear.

“Wow! This is beauty & the beast but with vampires! A vampire queen and her court, think Volturi. And our beautiful prince needs a bride so why not Clara? Fiesty fmc who hates him. We love to see it. Enchanted castle, jilted ex-fiancee And an impossible bargain. Pick this up if you love vampires and a book you won't want to put down! "And yet I'd still rather go back with him than spend another moment here with you."”
“This had me hooked from page one. I loved that the vampire lore actually felt like vampire lore. Silver hurts him, the danger feels real, and he isn’t just a conveniently immortal man with fangs. What really pulled me in, though, was the relationship. Every time I thought they were finally starting to understand each other, something happened to rip that progress apart. When she believed she had found the cure, I felt that hope with her, and when everything went wrong and he became furious, it genuinely hurt to read because I had been rooting so hard for them. I became much more emotionally invested in these characters than I expected, and by the end I was completely caught up in their story. Definitely one I would recommend to friends, especially if you like vampires that actually feel dangerous, complicated relationships, and a story that knows exactly how to make you hopeful before hurting you.”
“Honestly, there was plenty to love about this book! 🏰✨ If you’re a fan of a dark fantasy atmosphere with a classic gothic vibe, cursed secrets, and moody castles.. then Lily Crozier completely nailed the backdrop. The world building hooked me right away, and the plot keeps moving so fast that it’s super easy to fly through in a weekend. My only real complaint comes down to the relationship between Clara and Raleigh. Their full devotion happens in a flash to me. Because a lot of their relationship shifts happen alongside major plot developments, it felt like we skipped over those quiet, intimate conversations where two characters actually fall in love. I'm a total sucker for a deep slow burn, so going from enemies to total soulmates so quickly made it hard for the emotional side of things to fully land for me. That said, if you’re looking for a quick, fantasy fix with lore and a little retelling of Beauty and the beast.. it’s definitely worth picking up! This was my NetGalley Summer Camp pick. I’m grateful that I got the chance to read it ❤️ if a not so slow “slow burn” doesn’t bother you… then you will definitely enjoy this one!”
