ByPublisher Description
An international thriller about the search for Mary, the mother of Jesus, from the New York Times–bestselling author of the Repairman Jack novels.
During the Gulf War in 1991, an ancient scroll is found in the Negev Desert of southern Israel. Years later, scientists declare it a fake, but an American nun believes it will lead her to the resting place of the Virgin Mary.

“This started out with a lot of promise, unfortunately it didn’t do what I hoped it would. It had an interesting plot and unique characters. I hope it would have been a story similar to Dan Browns books but with new point a view, but it was a lot of the same old stuff.
It ended with a overly preachy speech that went on for far to long and the characters didn’t have enough growth after act 1 to give me any emotional investment in how the story ended for them.”

“I'm not sure what I think. I need to hang out with this one a little bit.
In the end, I just couldn't buy the big finish. Too much, too monster movie.
It didn't help that the characters felt cartoons, allegorical, but clumsily so. Their struggles didn't connect with me, their choices and actions sometimes seeming too pat, neatly connecting the plot lines to this Godzilla-level confrontation.
Good brain candy, fast read.”
