Veil of Hope

By Vannetta Chapman
Veil of Hope by Vannetta Chapman digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

One year ago, the world as we knew it ended.

The Kessler Effect turned the skies into a deadly graveyard, sending all lower orbital satellites crashing back to Earth. Now, the once-vibrant town of Alpine is a shadow of its former self, its people hardened by survival in a world where technology has collapsed and trust is a rare commodity.

Tanda Lopez has watched her community grow leaner, tougher, and smarter—but as two mysterious groups approach Alpine, she faces an impossible choice. Are these newcomers allies, offering a chance at rebuilding a fractured society, or are they predators, ready to take whatever they can by force?

In a world where nothing is certain, how do you decide who the good guys are? And when survival is on the line, who can you really trust?

Veil of Hope is a gripping tale of resilience and moral ambiguity in a post-apocalyptic landscape where every decision could mean life or death.

Veil of Hope Reviews

“You know, I just can't get enough of Vannetta Chapman's Kessler Effect novels! I love the apocalyptic bent of them, and the new things I've never before thought about. This book provided a little background information on the government side of things, which I found most interesting. I really don't want to say too much because I don't want to give ANYTHING away, but there was action, fighting, surprises, and I was not disappointed with any of it. It kept me on the edge of my seat, because these books aren't necessarily happily ever after books. So I didn't know what to expect. And that's all I'll say about that. But if you love dystopian/apocalyptic books, you don't want to miss this series! Caveat: this isn't a Christian fiction book, and there is some cussing. Not a lot, but some. ~I was given a complimentary copy of this book. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.~”
