“Crouch has a rhythm and style that is very distinct and addictive for his fans and thriller-style readers. Upgrade reads similarly to Dark Matter and Recursion, and if you are a fan of those books, this one will tickle some of the same itches. I am a big fan of Crouch's staccato writing style and propulsive pacing, I also thoroughly enjoy his techno-babble pseudo-science plots for what they are - fun, what-if, escapism. Don't ask too many questions or pull on too many threads and this is an enjoyable but fast ride...”L
