“I saved this book to read for my annual Old Orchard Beach summer vacation week, which only seemed appropriate because it is the setting of the book. I found that to be a nice little perk reading this while on the beach, next to the pier.
As for the book - I friggin loved it! If you are a fan of "The Lost Boys" and love the atmosphere of the beach town/beach carnival / the 1980's / all of that, then you definitely want to read Until Summer Comes Around. The characters are very likable, the story itself is very well structured, and I personally loved the time setting (era) of the book. I grew up listening to the same music so it was a bonus I enjoyed, but it may not mean much to younger readers though.
