“Untamed is the sizzling opener to the Uninhibited series. This is part one of a three part serial and it's going to get you all hot and bothered.
Cari is a celebrity archeologist and she's in trouble. She's been receiving threats and to protect her, her producer has hired Jasper as a bodyguard for her.
Sparks fly when Cari and Jasper meet. I loved the dance between Cari and Jasper as she provokes him into giving into his desire for her. And once Jasper snaps and he unleashes his passion on Cari, it will knock your socks off.
I liked Cari. While she's not a confrontational person, she's bold and independent. She wants Jasper and I enjoyed the way she set out to seduced him.
As for Jasper, he's your strong, silent type with hidden depths. We see a little of it in this part of the serial but I'm hoping to see more of it in subsequent parts to the story. I want to learn all of his kinks and what makes him tick. And what better way for him to be Cari's bodyguard than with him being very close to her body. :-)
The story ends with a bang (literally) and one heck of a cliffhanger. I can't wait to get to part two.
ps. Just realised two Lauren Hawkeye reviews this week. Apologies for that. I didn't even realise I had scheduled them like that. Nonetheless, both good reads.

“Untamed is a sexy start to a new series! Cari is a celebrity archaeologist who has attracted a stalker of sorts, so her production company and boss have hired her a bodyguard. Unfortunately for Cari, the bodyguard turns out to be a hot, buffed guy, Jasper, who is seemingly immovable in her quest to get him to notice her. That is until one night at a club as she's dancing with another hot guy, trying to make Jasper jealous, and he finally bites.
When he informs her that he likes to watch and to share, but that sex has to be on his terms, meaning he's in control, he's fully expecting her to balk at that. But, she's just as hot for him and for his brand of dominance that she has absolutely no plans on rejecting his offer.
But, still, there's the little matter of someone who seems to dislike her and the reason Jasper was actually hired, so how will the new dimension to their relationship affect his job? Can they have both a relationship and keep her safe and find out who's harassing her?

“Oh my hotness!!! Once I started reading this thrill ride of a novella, I didn't want to put out down. Be warned it ends on a cliffhanger, so if you don't like that, wait for the entire series to come out and eat it all in one sitting. The chemistry between the main character and her bodyguard are intense, and when they finally let that attraction boil over, IT'S HAWT!!! Lauren Hawkeye had a way with stories, and this is no exception!
