Rolling on the Floor Laughing Face“I was given this book as a gift from my sister because it looked like a classic and cheesy romance book. This book is a “love inspired suspense” novel. And I was so surprised at how suspenseful it was! The plot actually kept me on my toes, and the writing was easy to follow so I zoomed through this book. It definitely had moments where it felt like it dragged on with lots of dialogue and lack of action. But when the action happened, I was left surprised on multiple occasions. Another drag was the fact that this book had very stereotypical male characters that are mean, brash, and don’t know how to communicate. So they weren’t very likable. The miscommunication between the main couple was insane! Thankfully it gets resolved but both the main male character and the main female character need to learn how to communicate more outside of work! The ending was a little rushed to tie up everything neatly in a bow, but overall I was surprisingly invested in the story, even when it drove me a little mad. This book also features Christian themes. Both of the main characters pray throughout the book, and sometimes pray at very inconvenient moments. But Christianity and its beliefs are not shoved down your throat, you’re just reminded of it constantly with little prayers throughout the story.”
