“a dirty office romance and the writer is mia sosa ? of course I’ll read
ive wanted to read this book for quite a time now and since I felt a reading slump/book hangover coming (after finishing dating dr dil) I thought it would be a good way to avoid them by starting it? not quite
i haven’t finished the book, even tho I liked it, because of that freaking reading slump I’m in. i maybe one day read it again just to give it another chance with a clear mind, but here’s what I can say about the story:
- even if it’s Mia’s first book (if I’m correct) you still can see some fundamentals of her writing style. the banter, the seggsy and funny sentences, elaborate and spicy scenes, a very powerful and badass female main character, a soft and whipped man
beside that, you can also tell it’s her first piece because the writing style isn’t as captivating as it is now
- the side characters are, as always, great addiction and comedic reliefs!
- the writing was less subtle and glazed and more raw, unfiltered which is something I really enjoyed!
but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to keep me hooked and I prefer to give it a chance another time. the problem being me and not the book itself
