Unbroken Vow Reviews

3.5
“I really liked this book. It started off with a lot of information which was hard to understand and the first opening chapters it was slightly difficult to adjust to the writing style. After the first opening chapters everything was really fast paced and if felt really fleshed out without being overwhelming which was so nice to read especially as it was such a short book. The setting was really unique and it wasn’t predictable for me so it was such a fun first read for me. Overall I really like this I would recommend this to anyone who wants a short fantasy romance read with plot, closed-door spice and a detailed world. (This book was given by voracious readers only this had no impact of the review)”
“Received from Voracious Readers. It's a promising idea let down by the execution. Reading it, it feels like the story doesn't actually start until the final third, with everything before that being exposition to set everything up rather than being a part of the actual story. Some of the turns of phrases read like they've been run through translation software and there are spelling mistakes, I somehow doubt that Ada was looking forward to a martial bed instead of her marital bed. The blending of modern and fantasy doesn't quite merge and can be jarring in some places. The best storytelling does take place in the last third, giving us a chance to actually see some personality from our leads, rather than them being buffeted about by external forces. It feels like an early draft that needed some reworks, but there's definitely the bones of a promising romance in among the pages.”
“4.5 Stars UNBROKEN VOW was a blind read for me. Honestly, based on the title, I thought it was going to be a dark romance. It is actually a futuristic/arthurian romance that held my interest through the entire story. Overall this is a very well paced, enjoyable read that I was able to finish in one sitting. One of the reasons this wasn't a 5 star read for me is because I could not fully visualize the world that was built. I became distracted a few times trying to figure it all out. This is 100% me, not the author. I recommend this story and will read this author in the future.”
