Ultimatum To A Stranger
ByPublisher Description
Ultimatum To A Stranger
A woman receives an ultimatum from a scary stranger, her father.
This story is about a young woman who leaves her home to live with a man her father disapproves. It's about the difference between raising children and raising magnifying vanity mirrors. And it's about the difference between caring for human beings as a parent and caring for investments as an owner.
"Life In Letters" is an anthology of stories created by Lisa Brown and Violet Maze. Each title is a fictionalized story, stylized as a letter, of people who were forced to confront powerful self-deceptions about the world and about their world. Any such ordeal is enduring and painful, but also eye-opening and life-changing.

About Lisa Brown
Lisa is a psychologist. She has studied psychology, clinical psychopathology and political science. She has worked extensively with people in her community on issues regarding family, relationships, parenting, career choices, communication issues, as well as feelings of insecurity, unworthiness and despair.
Lisa and Violet created "Life In Letters" because they believe in progressive values and in a world where we understand rather than misunderstand each other. Where we can disagree without hating each other. Where we love rather than hate, not because all people always deserve our love, but because feeling love is invigorating and feeling hate is toxic. Where at least we know what it is we love or hate, because more than often we don't. Where science isn't poisoned by politics, faith, greed. Where information isn't lost in or entirely replaced by misinformation. Where the best we can have is Democracy, not just the illusion of Democracy. Where being different is being respected and celebrated rather than attacked and ridiculed. Where we all realize that our planet and everything living on it are one single organism. Where the solution to a problem – pollution, floods, fires, corruption, injustice, exploitation, unaffordable housing, unaffordable healthcare, limited or no access to basic needs, attack on civil rights, attack on privacy – is not to "learn to live with it", but to do something about it. We believe that caring for others and for the planet is being intelligently selfish. Love is creative, hate is destructive. Love is life, hate is death.
