“I enjoyed the mystery of the plot and how the author connected stories. I liked that it was fast-paced but I feel there were too many plots going on that I didn't have enough details on each. “This book took me until 53% to even really care about the story line. I genuinely loves the next 37% of the book, but then the last few chapters just came so quick with so much change and diversion. The beginning could’ve been cut and added in more of her adolescence or understanding her brother’s part in her life. The romance was off. “Took me a while to get into this one. I liked the story overall but felt a little rushed toward the end. I didn’t really see a romantic connection between the two characters but maybe that’s just me. I think if they would have focused less on her career stuff in the beginning and added more chapters about her father or brother currently I would have enjoyed it more.”TwistyRealistic setting

“I thought this book was fantastic. It’s my second Donlea book. I just read “those empty eyes” but I liked this one slightly better. I thought it was believable, intriguing, and twisty. It kept me guessing throughout and I thought it was well written.”Reviewed in:Savage Book Club
