“This story was absolutely wonderful! When Ivan becomes injured Leah becomes his main caregiver. But as the chores around the farm start adding up she reaches out to Zach. One problem though, Zach and his father are not on speaking terms. By the time Leah figures that out though, Zach is at the door and ready to help. He only plans to be there until his father Ivan is back on his feet. And being the caregiver on the farm isn't what she feels called to do either. They both are temporarily together to help Ivan at first, but then it becomes a fast friendship. They have a lot in common, and both are loving and godly people... and yet as much as they are sharing with each other they BOTH are holding a secret. Whats to come of this friendship? Whats to come of Zach and Ivans relationship? What are Leah and Zachs secrets and when they do get out ( which they will) what will happen next?
Both main characters Zach and Leah are just wonderful people. You can't help but want nothing but good to come for these characters. But they are both hurt from past disappointments and they allow that to delay opening up fully to each other. That was a huge mistake, even if it was to protect the other. But when the secrets come out, can they forgive, can they trust God with the outcome, can there still be a possible future?!
Special Thanks for Cathy for gifting me this book. It wasn't in exchange for a review, but rather I won it, and I am SO thankful I could read about Leah and Zachs story.
Now I just need that chocolate chip cake recipe!!!”
“Trusting Her Amish Heart grabbed my attention from the very beginning. I loved getting to know Leah Zook and discovering what made her run away from her family. Caring for her elderly neighbor who owns a horse farm gives Leah purpose, but after an injury forces her to reach out to his estranged son Zach Graber, things become a little more challenging for Leah.
As she works to heal the rift between the two men, she also deals with her own challenges. Secrets that the two keep from each other, but finally being honest with each other heals past hurts and allows them to pursue a future. Other characters in this book help bring the story to life.
So if you enjoy Amish stories filled with faith, family, and friendship, check out this book for yourself.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.”
