“It’s easy to forget how much devastation is present in Greek myths and how horribly violent some of the men were - the pleasure they took in the deaths they doled out.
It was interesting to read about the Trojan War in its entirety and have a cohesive narrative of what happened!! So many characters and stories coming together but that is what makes it so fascinating. Sad and devastating, of course, but fascinating nonetheless!
It also means I don’t have to re-read Homer’s Iliad because I am still traumatised from having to read it in a week for a seminar during my undergrad :D”

“A GREAT ending to a fantastic trilogy of audiobooks. I feel like I am so much more knowledgeable on this topic now, but it was so enjoyable and entertaining throughout all of these histories and stories that it just felt like I was watching a movie. Stephen Fry is the perfect narrator: thorough, funny, witty and manages to make hundreds of characters memorable.”

“Stephen Fry is always a guarantee.
This Troy retelling follows the steps of his other 2 books and from page 1 you're trapped.
You know the story, you know the characters and you know the outcome but it is all told through Fry's captivating and witty writing that new things emerge.
The art included is another plus. Highly recommended.”
