Thumbs Up“I've had to think about this for a long time. I enjoyed this story and the characters, but there's something that threw me off. I couldn't tell if it was the pacing or the deer imagery/encounters that didn't go anywhere. I still had a good time, though.”
“Emotional and powerful. This was a nice short story about discovery, love, acceptance, and a bit of magic.”

About Alec J. Marsh

Alec lives in the Pacific Northwest, where they write romantic adult fantasy and self-indulgent fanfiction. They make candles inspired by their favorite characters.

Nina Waters

Nina Waters is the pen name of Claire Houck/unforth, the founder of Duck Prints Press. The pseudonym is very personal to her—Nina was her childhood nickname (derived from her middle name, Penina, which was also her grandmother’s name) and Waters is a translation of her mother’s maiden name. Originally, Nina decided to use a pen name when she was working on an angst-ridden musical about unrequited love as a way of nursing a broken heart. The broken heart faded with time, but the pen name stayed!
