To Dance with Death by Brittney Arena digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • In the epic conclusion to the fantasy romance duology that began with A Dance of Lies, Vasalie must journey to the realms of the dead to restore the memories of her beloved king and stop a mounting war.

Once a spy for the ruthless King Illian, Vasalie sacrificed herself to kill him and prevent a prophesied war. But Illian’s brother, Anton—the king she allied with and began to love—struck a deal with Moranya, the goddess of the underworld, to bring Vasalie back. The cost: his compassion, his memories of her, and all the events of the past six weeks.

Now stripped of the truth, Anton believes his friends betrayed him and accepts Moranya’s offer to rule the kingdom of the dead. But with the kingdom he leaves behind on the brink of civil war, and her cruel father threatening to invade, Vasalie realizes only Anton can reunite a fractured realm.

To save her world and the man she was coming to love, Vasalie must journey to the underworld and reclaim him. But the Anton she finds is the worst version of himself: the arrogant, debauched king she once thought he was. To restore him, she’ll have to restore his memories first… even if it means sacrificing her own heart.

To Dance with Death Reviews

4.0
“To dance with death is perfect ending to a duology. I really loved a dance of lies and having to dance with death to pick up from where it left was brilliant. I love the fact you get the back story of the first book just to refresh your memory as for some people its been a good while since they read the first book To dance with death at the beginning is a slow burn but the pace picks up as you get further into the book. The last 30% of the book i could not put down. Vasalie is a badass FMC she doesn’t back down even if her body is telling her to stop and rest she keeps fight for the person she loves she determined to break the curse to bring Anton back to her My favourite quote from Vasalie: “i will save somehow whether you like it or not, you beautiful, pompous ass.” The quote that made me cry from Anton: “ i love you, minnow” Such a great duology i gave this book 4.75 stars”
“I very much enjoyed this book! The second and final book in this series and was very satisfied with the ending! Well done!!!”
