When a police detective is injured in the line of duty, he finds that the department will no longer allow him to do his regular job due to his injury. He chooses to end his police career and start one as a private investigator. Shortly after his new career is launched, a series of unfortunate events necessitate him to include his son, who has Down syndrome, in his new business. Through much tribulation, he learns that his son is much more capable than he would have ever imagined. However, a private investigator's work can sometimes be dangerous.
