“This Bitter Earth is a packed sequel to Sugar. I don’t know if the description adequately prepared me for all that was going to go down in this book. One thing that I took from this is that the people we cross paths with in memorable ways are NEVER a coincidence. I began the novel with knowledge of the primary connections and the “elephants” in the room that bled over from book 1. HOWEVER, I was not prepared for all of the pieces that were puzzled together by the end. This was such an eerie read. It definitely provided the closure I was seeking after reading Sugar. Bernice L.
