Thinking Face“This book has a really strong plot, and great diverse characters. I found it interesting that the killer messes with his victims beforehand, and makes it feel like they’re going crazy. Although I did find Makani’s secret past to be extremely weak. Compelling story. Kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. Also extremely sad.”
Expressionless Face“Meh... Book was very boring and lackluster. Wouldn't recommend.”
“The beginning of the book had me interested but the last half was slow to get through. I honestly liked the teen romance better than the actual horror. I feel like the author should stick to the YA romance genre. The kills were gruesome and well written but the plot and the motive of the killer was lackluster. I also wasn’t a fan of the main character’s “past secret”. They talked it up as if it was going to be absolutely devastating and it was not a huge deal at all. I wish the book either centered on the love story or was better fleshed out for an actual horror novel.”
