The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Reviews

“This was an interesting read for me — I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. Reading the book after having the movie so deeply etched in my mind made the experience especially unique. There were so many details and moments that greatly contrasted with the classic film, which surprised me in both good and curious ways. It’s a very easy read and clearly a wonderfully written children’s story for its time. You can really appreciate Baum’s imagination and the way he created such a vivid, whimsical world that has lasted for generations. While it didn’t fully capture my heart, I can absolutely see why this story became such a beloved classic. Although it wasn’t my favorite, it was still an enjoyable, light, and nostalgic read. 🫶🏽”
