Publisher Description

“In Britney Spears’s memoir, she’s stronger than ever.” —The New York Times

The Woman in Me is a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.

In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court. The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.

Written with remarkable candor and humor, Spears’s groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last.

Loudly Crying Face“Britney’s resilience is inspirational. She seems like such a pure soul. Her anecdote about finding God on a road trip in the desert with her best friend was one of my favorite parts. I’m glad she was able to reconnect with her spirituality, many years later, to get her through all of the trauma her family put her through.”

Loudly Crying Face“While the writing wasn’t the best I loved this book and feel so deeply for Britney. The way the media, the public, paparazzi, peers, family, EVERYONE treated her at that time is heartbreaking and I am so happy she is beginning to heal. … her parents absolutely suck.”

Loudly Crying Face““You can’t fuck with a woman who knows how to pray. Really pray. All I did was pray” “(Remember: your tongue is your sword)” My first memoir and to be honest, I felt everything Britney wrote. I was shaking my head, getting angry, feeling all the emotions that she felt (probably not even close) but I definitely understood and felt so terrible for her. I absolutely loved this read, it was pretty quick read and I honestly would listen to the audiobook again. I’m so happy for her now and wish her well. She has a lot of life to live! Also, this book definitely got a 5 stars because of how much she talked about God! AMEN!!! 🙏🏻”
