“To be honest, this is my first introduction of this genre? And I quite enjoyed it. Will consider reading more about these type of stories since I deem them as my palate cleanser now.”

“What an odd book. The premise for this book had everything and yet I feel it barely scratched the surface. All the battles going on, yet the majority of them we learned of after the fact. I like my books gritty, bloody and when it’s a story that’s based on mob families and betrayals, I want to read about it, I don’t want it skipped over with the main character lamenting on his feelings over what went down. I want to know what went down dammit!!
Like I say, this book could have been an amazing tale; something Don Winslow-esque. But it wasn’t. It won’t deter me from catching more from this author but it lacked action and excitement, hence the middle of the road rating.”
