“First and Foremost, a moment of silence for this BREATHTAKING cover. Literally - I had 0 idea what this was about but expeditiously requested from my library based on that beautiful cover.
While this isn’t a genre I read much, I really enjoyed this book overall. The plot felt thought out and well done. The characters had depth and growth and overall both meshed well together to give a really good story.
The book was well written and kept me engaged the majority of the story. I really felt like a lot of the book i related to on a deep level right now with this admin and what’s happening in the world. I also really enjoyed the way the story was set up. I loved the POV and the chapters that has a bit of a different flare.
The audiobook was well done. I did an immersive read and it was truly the best choice. I felt like I was part of the story and my enjoyment was even deeper because of it.
My only dislike or note on this was that there was some parts in the middle that felt slow and unnecessary. I think the book could have been fleshed out a tad bit more so that some of the repetition and slowness in the middle could have been removed.”
“I liked the idea behind this book but sadly it fell flat for me. It feels like nothing ever happens even though there are high stakes. The characters also felt flat to me and I really didn't care about them even though I feel like I should have.”

Nafiza Azad is a self-identified island girl. She has hurricanes in her blood and dreams of a time she can exist solely on mangoes and pineapple.
