“I gave 0 f*cks about the 20 underdeveloped characters in this story. It was a genuine relief 😮💨 finishing this torture. For a story to hook me I have to empathize with someone, something, a cause, a theme and this book gave me nothing. Most of the people who enjoy this novel, enjoy it due to nostalgia. It is a classic middle school assigned read, and if rereading it brings you the feels of when you were a kid, I get that. But if you're looking for a serious murder mystery novel as an adult, this book is not it. Even the whole murder mystery of it all falls so flat, it's so confusing. Nothing. This book gave me absolutely nothing. ⚰️”
