Then she discovered why the pirates had been trying to kidnap salvagers. And suddenly Torin’s mission expanded from saving Craig to stopping the pirates from changing the balance of power in known space....

“Watching Torin’s control slip and seeing the role reversal between her and her marines is beautiful. She was their rock and now they are the ones grounding her. Also the growth in her relationship with Presit is delightful. It was hard watching Craig lose faith in those he considered his people near the end.”

Tanya Huff may have left Nova Scotia at three, and has lived most of her life since in Ontario, but she still considers herself a Maritimer.
