“This would’ve been an excellent duology if it were a little longer, but I get the vision for continuing the series. Still, can someone give my girl Lara a BREAK? The entire book is a relentless emotional and physical beating — from her father, her husband, and her people. Has she not been through enough?? Dang 😩”
“Im devouring this series with fervor.
I do wish that it was longer. I find it goes a little too fast, missing out on detail I would love to have. But I also think thats a good thing. It means I WANT more. Because its so enjoyable that I just want M O R E.
It also makes it an easy read for people who love adventure fiction/fantasy (not really fantasy aside from being a fictional world) and have really busy lives like I do with a toddler. Its fun, easy to read, quick to read, so I feel like I get to enjoy reading a little more than big long books that take me forever when im only reading for a short time each day since I work full time and raise a crazy almost 2 year old.
Starting book 3 immediately. But devastated that Lara and Aren arent the main focus 😭
But im so interested in Keris...”
