“I had to bail on this one, in spite of the promising description. the second person narration is incredibly tedious - it feels hackneyed to have a character writing 50-page letters to another character describing events that the second person was fully present at. wtaf. this, along with lengthy descriptive passages and no explanation of the complex and messy ways people's names change, distances the reader from the story. it distanced me right to the outer cover and into a different book.”
