“Honestly, the book should be renamed to "The Tiger and The Man" or just something else more relatable. The acrobat boy is barely significant in this story. He just sets the tiger free from her cage. The tiger enjoyed her life the most when she was with The Man, and recalled so much of her memories with The Man. So why not include The Man in the title? If I could describe the story with a short phrase, it would be "existential crisis". Yeah, it does make you ponder a bit on what is life and what is our true purpose, but in this story, there's no growth in that. The Tiger still ponders about it until the day she dies.
The satisfying thing that I am gaining from this book is the moment she met The Man, and also the moment she escaped the circus. The other 80% is just the tiger wondering about life which makes the book felt slow and boring at certain times.”
“This book was a nice read and it was easy to read. You understand the story line and what is happening, but I just wish she found her purpose before dying. But in the after life she was with the person that meant everything to her so it was a nice wrap to the book.”
